Cllr. Patrick M. King’olaIn the run up to the popular election in 2007, the Government pledged to remedy a number of maladies that afflicted the Local Authorities and the nation at large. The Municipal Council of Mavoko as one of the lead agencies in the implementation of Government policies, programmes and projects has been extremely instrumental in actualizing these promises and objectives using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as one of the tools of management, hence the need to develop this Website.
The Council with our development partners has initiated several projects like Street Lighting, Town Beatification, building of new Markets and Bus Parks. These developments will not only empower and improve the residents’ financial status but also add value to business capacities in the Mavoko.
I am indeed grateful to the Ministry of Local Government for the reforms put in place in the Local Authorities. The reforms have come along with development of ICT as part of the MDGs. This is a good challenge to all of us and serves as an awakening call for us to provide quality services to our tax payers. God bless you all for your continued support.
